Post Hello!
Hey everyone I'm new to these forums and to New Baby productions but since I am from Michigan the site caught my interest. My name is Thomas you guys can call me Tom for short if you want. I was looking for independent comic book companies and came across your website. I been reading comics since I was 15 years old and have been getting more and more into independent comics the past few years. The independent comic industry has inspired me to write my own comics and see where it goes which has been a hell of a lot of fun for me so far. I didn't really know where to post this so I thought I'd just start my own thread hope that's okay with the board moderator but I just wanted introduce myself.

I'm graduate of Ferris States Digital Animation and Game Design Bachelors degree program, I know how to use 3D Studio Max, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and few other digital programs. I also do a great deal of creative writing. I'm currently working on two comics books. One is a traditional comic book of the science fiction super hero genre, and the other is a Digital Motion Comic Book much like Marvels Spider Women and DC's Watchmen only plan to shoot with a Digital Camera here in Detroit instead of using a tradition artist and it does not deal with super powered characters.

My traditional comic book is 12 issues long and the story is completed. It's been an on going project that I've worked on for the past 4 years on and off. I have some concept art done but other then that its all story and script right now. With out going into to many details because it's not copy written yet. It deals with an alien race that evacuated their home planet due to catastrophic events and find our earth and begin to interbreed with Human species as they make our earth their new home. I'm currently writing the panel by panel script and I am looking for an artist who would be interested in doing the art. I am currently working as a Substitute teacher because I have not been able to find work in my field yet, so I don't make a lot of money, but on the bright side I do have lots of time to work on my scripts lol.

The Digital Comic i'm working on is going to be shot with a Digital Camera, and chopped up in a way that will allow animation. After I chop it up I plan to run the images through photo shop with a filters for an artistic feel. The first six issues of the story are complete and my friend Joe "the Audio Engineer" for the project and I currently writing the script together. This is our first attempt at a Digital Comic, but I am hopeful that the way I have worked it all out in mind will work when I start animating. Motion comics are so new that their isn't really isn't a step by step tutorial on how to go about doing them lol, but it should be fun to work on. The story revolves around down and out unemployed college graduate who is in a great deal of debt and turns to dealing drugs and a wrongfully dishonorably discharged Iraq Veteran turned vigilantly. The comic is a Dark Action Comedy that revolves around serious issues, but also has a bit of humor in it to keep the mood at an even keel.

Alright guy's well thanks for allowing me to join your board and I'm interested to learn what the New Baby Productions is all about and am curious where your comics are distributed so I can pick a few up and check them out. The art from the previews I seen on your website looks really amazing! Keep up the good work!

:D

Hey Tom,

Thanks for the message. Your comics sound really cool and I look forward to hearing more about them. Publishing comics can be difficult but rewarding. I have learned a lot since starting New Baby two years ago and hope I can continue to learn and adapt. Lots of luck to you as you start your own journey in this business. And if you have any questions or wish to just chat, I will be more than happy to talk.

There are a handful of stores that carry our ELEMENTAL FOURCES books. Find a list here: http://www.elementalfources.com/available.asp
If you have a different store that you frequesnt or one of the stores on the list are out, have them contact me about getting books on their shelves.
